We have experienced unstabilities at Apinews due to a bug in our blog software (Wordress) which has caused the automatic posting to Twitter too be missing for 10 days.

In addition a few posts have also been missing on the webpage and RSS aswell. We are now aware of the bug, and will monitor the problems.

We are sorry for the inconvenience for our Twitter users.

Since its first post the 16th of July 2006, Apinews has delivered an average of 3 news about bees and beekeeping every day.

Last week we started using Twitter, and now we post every news headline there too, giving a new way of following us. Whether you read Apinews directly on our web page, using a RSS reader (like Google Reader, Bloglines, or a standalone application) or via Twitter, we will continue to guide you to news from around the world and strive to be a leading beekeeping news source.

If you have any comments or suggestions for improvements, please give us some feedback. We would love to hear from you!

I actually think I will celebrate with some ice cream ;-)

Old Apinews design

Old Apinews design

Today I changed the design of Apinews.

Although I liked the old design, I felt it started to get outdated. You can see the old design in the picture to the right.

Feel free to comment the design change. I’m also glad to get suggestions for other improvements aswell.

Apinews has now become mobile aware.  If you browse Apinews with a common mobile browser (including ones from mobile phones like Nokia, Sony Ericsson and iPhone), you will get a mobile adapted version of Apinews.

Be aware though, that the pages Apinews links to will be regular non-mobile pages.

Apinews experiences some unstabilities at the moment. This is is caused by an emergency upgrade which was not planned, but needed to handle some security issues at the site. Tags for instance, does not work at the moment. I will address these problems as soon as possible.

It has been more than a month since Apinews got updated. I’ve had a very busy life lately, and not much time for Apinews. I’m sorry for that, and I promise to give you all more beekeeping news before christmas. Have a nice December!
