MP suggests pesticides contributing to demise of bees

AN OPPOSITION MP has called on the Government to do more to stem the decline of bee numbers in the UK.

In a letter to Defra, Martin Caton, the Labour MP for Gower, suggested that a group of systemic pesticides called neonicotinoids were ‘contributing to the demise of bees and other pollinating insects’.
