Govt cash to help beekeepers make varroa eradication bid

Yesterday’s decision by Cabinet to allocate an additional $1.25 million to the management of varroa in the South Island may make it possible to give the beekeepers enough resources to not only get rid of infested hives, but kill feral bees in a radius of 25km, said head of the Varroa Agency, Duncan Butcher.
